SFV Commission makes decision on banned Hume players

The Series Futsal Victoria (SFV) Commission has made its decision on the four Hume players that were banned after Hume’s Round 2 loss to Western Wolves.

Moe Matar, Nikola Jurcic, Moe Tankir and Jason Barrientos have all had their bans revoked by the Commission, meaning they are in the clear for their clash against Pascoe Vale this Friday night.

Also in the SFV good books is Hume manager Niko Ignatiadis, who has also been cleared of any charges, and will take charge of his side on Friday night.

All four players, and their manager, missed Hume’s Round 3 clash with Fitzroy and were made to wait two weeks for a decision by the Commission, due to Series Futsal Australia taking place in Adelaide over the weekend.

But the Commission met with members of the club’s leadership group tonight, and informed them that all has been forgiven.

In a more surprising move by the Commission, Hume fan and former player Ali Celik has had his year-long ban revoked after serving five months of the initial suspension handed down in April.

Celik is now clear to attend or play in SFV games, if he chooses to make a return to the court.
